Special Assembly and Seminar on Cyber Security Awareness  

A Special Assembly and Seminar on Cyber Security Awareness was organized in the school on July 6 2026, Monday to educate students about safe and responsible use of the internet. The programme highlighted the growing risks of cybercrime, including phishing, OTP fraud, identity theft, online scams, and cyber bullying.

An informative seminar was conducted by the school counsellors, Ms Jhanvi Dalia and            Mr Aditya Ukani where valuable insights into the latest cyber threats and preventive measures were shared. The interactive session encouraged students to actively participate by asking questions and discussing real-life situations, making the seminar both engaging and educational.

A special skit presented by the students was the highlight of the programme. Through an engaging performance, the students portrayed various online scams and demonstrated how cyber criminals manipulate unsuspecting individuals. The skit effectively conveyed important messages about vigilance, responsible internet usage, and the importance of verifying information before sharing personal or financial details. It received enthusiastic appreciation from the audience for its creativity and impactful message.

The programme concluded with reinforcing the importance of cyber awareness and encouraging every student to become a responsible digital citizen and an ambassador of online safety within the community.

Interhouse Chess Tournament  

“Just like in chess, life’s journey is about more than winning. It’s about how you maneuver through challenges, how you recover from setbacks, and how you strategize for the future.”

The Inter-House Chess Tournament was successfully conducted on 20/06/2026 for the students of classes V & VI in the school premises with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The event aimed to promote strategic thinking, concentration, and healthy competition among the students.

Participants from all houses showcased their skills and competed in a series of well-organized matches. The students displayed impressive talent, patience, and analytical thinking throughout the tournament.

Inter-House Elocution Competition (Classes VII & VIII) 

“The power of words lies in their ability to inspire minds, ignite change, and shape the future.”

An Inter-House Elocution Competition was organized for the students of Classes VII and VIII in the school auditorium on Tuesday, 23 June 2026. The event aimed to enhance students’ public speaking skills, boost their confidence, and provide them with a platform to express their thoughts on contemporary and thought-provoking topics.

Students from all four houses participated enthusiastically and showcased their eloquence, clarity of thought, and impressive stage presence. The participants delivered well-prepared speeches on a variety of meaningful topics, including “Dreams Do Not Work Unless You Do,” “The Earth Does Not Belong to Us; We Belong to the Earth,” “Screen Time: How Much Is Too Much?” “Cyber Safety for Young People,” “Financial Literacy is Important for Teenagers Too,” and “Are We Sacrificing Health for Convenience?”, among others.

The competition was judged on content, pronunciation, expression, confidence, and overall presentation. The judges appreciated the efforts of all participants and commended them for their thorough preparation and outstanding performances.

The event concluded with the announcement of the winners, followed by an inspiring address from the judges, who encouraged the students to continue honing their communication and critical-thinking skills. The programme ended on a high note with encouraging words from the Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalwala, and the Headmistress, Ms. Amita Singh, who congratulated the participants on their commendable efforts and emphasized the importance of effective communication in personal and academic growth.

International Yoga Day Celebration 

Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” — The Bhagavad Gita

S. D. Jain Modern School celebrated International Yoga Day with enthusiasm and active participation from the students of Classes V to VIII. The event was organized to highlight the importance of yoga in maintaining physical fitness, mental well-being, and a balanced lifestyle.

Students performed various yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation exercises under the guidance of their teachers. The activities helped students understand the significance of yoga in developing concentration, flexibility, and inner peace.

A special highlight of the event was an energetic aerobics session by the Gajanan Aerobics Group. The instructors led students through a series of lively aerobic exercises and fitness routines, promoting the importance of regular physical activity for a healthy body and mind. The session was highly engaging and filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm and positivity.

The event concluded on a positive note.  Principal, Mr Chetan Dalwala and Headmistress,     Mrs Amita Singh motivated the students to make yoga and exercise a part of their daily routine.

Inter-House English Recitation Competition

Classes V & VI

An Inter-House English Recitation Competition for the students of Classes V and VI was held on 19 June 2026, Friday in the school auditorium with great enthusiasm and participation. The event aimed to enhance students’ confidence and public speaking skills while fostering an appreciation for English literature.

Participants from all the houses showcased their talent by reciting a variety of poems with remarkable fluency, voice modulation, and expressive gestures. The young reciters captivated the audience with their confidence and stage presence, making the competition both engaging and inspiring.

The judges evaluated the participants on the basis of pronunciation, clarity, voice modulation, confidence, expression, and overall presentation. Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalwala and Headmistress, Mrs. Amita Singh appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation and encouraged them to continue nurturing their literary and communication skills.
