To mark International Yoga Day, a Class Board Decoration Competition was organized for the students of Class XII at S. D. Jain Modern School. The activity aimed to promote awareness about the importance of yoga and holistic well-being through creative expression.
Students enthusiastically showcased their artistic talents by decorating their class boards with inspiring yoga-themed messages, illustrations, and informative content highlighting the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga. The competition witnessed remarkable creativity, teamwork, and thoughtful presentation.
The entries were judged by Mr. Anish Ganguly and Mrs. Supriya Chopra, who appreciated the students’ innovative ideas and artistic excellence. The efforts of the participants were also highly appreciated by the Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalwala, and Headmaster, Mr. Kiran Kataria, who commended the students for their creativity and for effectively conveying the message of wellness through art.

Patriotic Spirit Comes Alive Through Class Board Decoration Std XI
To commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas, a Class Board Decoration Competition was organized for the students of Std. XI during the CCA period. The theme, “Kargil Vijay Diwas – Honoring India’s Victory,” inspired students to showcase the valor, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Indian Armed Forces through creative and informative board displays.
The competition was judged by Mr. Hemang Latte and Mr. Saroj Ojha, who appreciated the students’ creativity, presentation, and understanding of the theme.
Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala and Head Master Mr. Kiran Kataria lauded the remarkable efforts of the students and teachers for creating meaningful and aesthetically appealing displays that paid a heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers of the nation.

S. D. Jain Modern School inaugurated its Annual Science & Art Exhibition 2026 with great enthusiasm and grandeur. Organized in the cherished memory of the revered Founder Chairman, Late Shri Devraj Ji Jain, the exhibition served as a tribute to his enduring vision of holistic education and nation-building.
The exhibition, themed “Building a Better Tomorrow,” was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Anurag Dubey, IRS, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by the respected Chairman Shri Kailash Ji Jain, esteemed Trustees , Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala, Heads of all the wings, staƯ members, students, and parents. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest.

A New Chapter of Leadership: Investiture Ceremony 2026–27
S.D. Jain Modern School proudly conducted its Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026–27 with great dignity and enthusiasm in the school A.C. Hall. The ceremony marked the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council and celebrated the values of leadership, responsibility, and service.
The programme commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp, followed by a warm welcome to the esteemed Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalwala, the Heads of all three wings, faculty members, and the proud parents of the council members, whose presence added grace and significance to the occasion.

With this inspiring spirit, S. D. Jain Modern School organized the Inter-House Talent Hunt Competition for Class IX on 23rd June 2026. The event served as a vibrant platform for students to showcase their creativity, confidence, and unique abilities before an enthusiastic audience.
Participants from Ashoka, Shivaji, Subhash, and Tagore Houses presented a diverse range of performances, including singing, yoga, stand-up comedy, dance, tabla solo, taekwondo demonstrations, and instrumental performances. Each act reflected the dedication, hard work, and passion of the participants. The audience was enthralled by the students’ remarkable stage presence and exceptional talent, making the event both entertaining and inspiring.
The performances were judged by Ms. Supriya Chopra and Mr. Prashant Kansara, who evaluated the participants on creativity, skill, confidence, and stage presence. Their valuable feedback encouraged students to continue nurturing their talents and striving for excellence.

Marking a significant step towards aligning educational practices with the vision of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF), S.D. Jain Modern School organized an informative Orientation Programme on the National Curriculum Framework for School Education on 6 June 2026. The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the distinguished resource person and members of the teaching fraternity. The session was conducted by the eminent educationist, Dr. Beena Prashant, Principal of IIRA International School, Vadodra and Executive Committee member of Gyaan Sarovar Sahodaya, whose vast experience and deep understanding of educational reforms enriched the learning experience for all participants. The event was graced by the distinguished presence of the Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalwala, Head Master, Mr. Kiran Kataria, and Head Mistress Mrs. Amita Singh. Their unwavering commitment to fostering academic excellence and nurturing a progressive learning environment continues to strengthen the institution’s pursuit of quality education.
The workshop focused on the key principles and recommendations of the National Curriculum Framework, emphasizing the need for competency-based learning, experiential education, holistic development, and learner-centric teaching methodologies. Through insightful discussions and practical examples, Dr. Prashant highlighted the evolving role of educators in creating meaningful and engaging learning experiences for students. The first part of the session provided a comprehensive overview of the vision and objectives of the NCF. The resource person elaborated on the importance of fostering critical thinking, creativity,
collaboration, and lifelong learning skills among students while ensuring inclusive and equitable education for all learners.
The second part of the programme was activity-oriented and highly engaging. Teachers were encouraged to showcase their understanding and interpretation of the National Curriculum Framework through creative artistic expressions. Teacher Training Programme on Value Education Inspires Educators for the New Academic

Marking a positive and purposeful beginning to the new CBSE academic session after the summer break, S.D. Jain Modern School organized a comprehensive Teacher Training Programme on Value Education and the Inculcation of Values among Students on 6 June 2026.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, resource persons, and teaching fraternity. The session was graced by the presence of the respected Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalwala, and Head Master, Mr. Kiran Kataria, Mrs Amita singh, Mrs Neelima Pal and Mrs. Deepshikha Bhattacharjee whose unwavering commitment to academic excellence and character building continues to inspire the school community.
The school had the privilege of hosting two eminent resource persons, Mrs. Shweta Sanjay Parihar, Principal of Gajera Global School and CBSE Resource Person, and Mrs. Dimpal Pratik Vyas, CBSE Resource Person and an experienced educator from Lourdes Content School.
The training programme focused on the theme of Value Education, highlighting the significance of nurturing values and ethics among students in today’s rapidly changing world. The session was thoughtfully divided into two parts, both jointly facilitated by the esteemed resource persons.
The first half of the programme was highly interactive and engaging. Through meaningful discussions, reflective activities, and real-life examples, the resource persons emphasized the vital role of teachers in fostering values such as empathy, integrity, responsibility, respect, and compassion.
The second half of the programme was activity-based and participative. Through collaborative exercises, group tasks, and experiential learning activities, the trainers demonstrated practical strategies for integrating value education into everyday teaching practices. The hands-on activities enabled teachers to explore innovative ways of making value-based learning meaningful, engaging, and relevant for students.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from all teachers, who actively contributed to discussions and activities throughout the session.

Farewell ceremony 2025-26
The much-awaited Class XII Farewell Ceremony (2025–26) was organized on 13th April 2026 at 12:00, marking an emotional and memorable send-off for the graduating batch. 🌸✨
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp 🪔, symbolizing knowledge and new beginnings. This was followed by a warm introduction and the invitation of dignitaries, setting a respectful and celebratory tone for the event.
A beautiful shayari by Dhairya Gandhi (XII-B) added a poetic touch ❤️, followed by inspiring words from the Head Boy/Head Girl, reflecting on memories, gratitude, and aspirations. 🎤
The celebration continued with a series of energetic dance performances 💃🕺 by different groups, filling the atmosphere with joy and enthusiasm. A soulful segment including a song by teachers and a musical performance by Nimesh Sir 🎶 added a heartfelt charm to the occasion.
A thoughtful speech by the Secretary emphasized values, growth, and future responsibilities. Another graceful shayari by Kavya Bhansali beautifully captured the emotions of farewell. ✍️💫

Academic Prize Distribution Ceremony

On 24th April 2026, the Academic Prize Distribution Ceremony for the present Class X (formerly Class IX) was conducted with great pride and dignity within the school premises. The ceremony was graciously presided over by our esteemed Principal, Chetan Dalwala, and our respected Headmaster, Kiran Kataria. The occasion was further honoured by the presence of our coordinators, Supriya Chopra and Saroj Ojha, along with the dedicated teaching faculty.
A total of 37 students were felicitated during the ceremony. Among them, 30 students were awarded certificates and medals in recognition of their exemplary academic performance in the previous session—an embodiment of diligence, perseverance, and intellectual commitment.
Additionally, 7 students were specially honoured for achieving 100% attendance throughout the academic year. Their unwavering consistency, discipline, and sense of responsibility set a distinguished benchmark for their peers.
In his address, the Headmaster encouraged the students to remain focused and strive for excellence in their forthcoming Class X Board Examinations, emphasizing the importance of determination and sustained effort.

The occasion was further enriched by the presence of our Coordinators, Ms. Supriya Chopra and Mr. Saroj Ojha, along with the dedicated teaching faculty, making it a memorable and dignified event.
The ceremony celebrated the achievements of 41 students. Among them, 30 students were honoured with certificates and medals for their outstanding academic performance in the previous session, reflecting diligence, perseverance, and intellectual excellence.
Additionally, 11 students were specially recognized for maintaining 100% attendance throughout the academic year. Their consistency, discipline, and commitment set a commendable example for their peers.
In his address, the Head Master motivated the students to remain focused, disciplined, and determined in their academic pursuits, emphasizing that sustained effort is the key to success.

The Medal and Certificate Distribution Ceremony for Class XII students was held on Friday, 24th April at 7:45 a.m. in the SD Jain AC Hall. The event was organized to honour and celebrate the academic achievements and dedication of the students for the session.
The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala, along with Headmaster Mr. Kiran Kataria. Coordinators and teachers were also present, adding warmth and encouragement to the occasion.
The program commenced on a dignified note, Principal sir Head Master sir and coordinators felicitated the deserving students by presenting them with medals and certificates, acknowledging their hard work, perseverance, and excellence.
The atmosphere was filled with motivation and pride as each student walked up to receive recognition. The dignitaries addressed the students, inspiring them to continue striving for excellence and to uphold the values of dedication and integrity in all their future endeavours.

Building Bridges: Class IX Orientation Programme
The Orientation Programme for Class IX was successfully conducted over two days, 29th and 30th April 2026, in the school premises. The programme aimed at familiarizing parents with the new syllabus, academic expectations, and key guidelines for the upcoming session.
The programme was conducted under the able guidance of our esteemed Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalwala. The gathering was addressed by our respected Head Master, Mr. Kiran Kataria, along with our coordinators, Mrs. Supriya Chopra and Mr. Saroj Ojha. Their insightful addresses highlighted the academic vision of the school, expectations from students, and the importance of a strong and supportive parent-school partnership.
A detailed PowerPoint presentation was conducted to provide clarity on curriculum changes, subject-wise requirements, and assessment patterns. The sessions were highly interactive, where parents actively raised queries which were patiently addressed by the faculty. The school also encouraged both verbal and written feedback from parents to ensure open communication and continuous improvement.
The response from parents was extremely positive and encouraging. They appreciated the well-organized programme, the clarity of information shared, and the dedicated efforts of the school in keeping them informed and involved. The active participation of parents reflected their trust and cooperation.
