Annual Day Celebrated in S.D. Jain Modern School 2005-2006
S. D. Jain Modern School – a prestigious school of Surat that impacts quality education and lays great emphasis on moral values, Indian culture, Character formation & moulding students in to good citizens of the nation celebrated its Annual Function on 25th October 2005 with great enthusiasm.
The Police Commissioner of Surat Mr. Sudhir Sinha, I.P.S was the chief guest and the Chiarman of the Paras Education Trust , Shree Devraj Jain presided over the function. Eminent Educationist Mr. K.Juneja gave the welcome address and Principal Mr. Maxwell presented the school Annual Report highlighting the achievements of the students. The Chairman and the Chief guest gave away the prizes to the students for their excellent performances in academics, sports and extra curricular activities specially the remarkable achievement of the Xth standard students in CBSE Board, the best student award was given to Chandani Madnani. More than 20 students received scholarships for their meritorious performances.
The Chief guest praised the Annual function and said that Surat city is fortunate to have such a wonderful education center as a role model. He also advised all the schools to have one period in a week to educate the students on the subject of traffic awareness which is very important to preserve the life’s of youngsters.
The other highlights of the programme are : Ashoka house has been declared as the cock house which has excelled in Academics, Co-Curricular in comparison to other houses. Subhash house has been declared winners in sports which stood second to Ashoka house.
Mrs. Nidhi Jain – Trustee addressed the gathering in which she applauded the school, teachers and students for their undulating hard work & efforts. The programme was very well compered by Mrs. Pushpy Kalawat.
An artistic designed building with latest gadgets for pre-primary children with a multipurpose auditorium is erected. This school is rare blend of academics, sports and co-curricular activities.
“Let us all meet to bridge the generation gap” is the central theme of dazzling colourful and multi faceted cultural programme. The extra ordinary performance of the students in the item Vande Matarm, Daddy cool, Bhagra, Rajasthani fair, Cowboys, English skit – The Lost Son and Kahani Ghar Ghar ki, S. D.Jain Pariwar enthralled the audience was clearly indicative of the indelible impression that the programme had ob their minds.
The function was kaleidoscopic presentation of the creative talents of students. A gathering of over 4000 elite of the town witnessed this spectacular event and was treated to a sumptuous dinner.
