” S. D. Jain Modern School “ – a prestigious school of Surat that imparts quality education and lays great emphasis on moral values, Indian culture, character formation and moulding students into good citizens, of the nation celebrated its Annual Function on 6th November 2004 , with great enthusiasm.
Chairman of the Paras Education Trust, Shri Devraj Jain was the chief guest. Eminent educationist Shri K. Juneja gave the welcome address. Principal Mr. Maxwell presented the school Annual Report, highlighting the achievements of the students. Many of the students have done remarkably well in various fields at district , state and national level. Manjari Garg of Std – X stood 2nd in Gujarat state all over India in National Science Olympiad & Palak Gupta if Std V- A stood 7th in the Gujarat state. Monica Bothra of VII – A stood 1st in Gujarat State in 3rd National Cyber Olympiad.
The chief guest gave away prizes to the students for their excellent performance in academics, sports and extra curricular activities.
The function was a colourful display of the manyfold talents of the students that mesmerized the audience. The dazzling performance of the students in the items – Tu He Asma, Fusion Dance, Indian Folk Dance, Skit on Social Issues – enthralled the audience.
A gathering of over 2000 elite of the town witnessed this spectacular event. The loud applause by the audience was clearly indicative of the indelible impression that the programme had on their minds.
