Vasant Panchami Celebration and Student Felicitation – Honouring Learning and Talent
S.D. Jain Modern School, Primary Wing, celebrated Vasant Panchami with a special assembly on 23rd January 2026, spreading the spirit of knowledge, culture and creativity. The programme opened with the chanting of sacred shlokas and Saraswati mantras, creating a calm and devotional atmosphere. Students presented speeches, poems, skits and graceful dances highlighting the importance of the festival. A soulful Saraswati prayer beautifully conveyed the message of wisdom and new beginnings. Celebration of World Hindi Day at S. D. Jain Modern School
S.D. Jain Modern School, Surat celebrated World Hindi Day under the auspices of Bank of Baroda, Surat District Region (Puna Branch) and the Official Language Department. The event highlighted the importance of Hindi as India’s official language and a rich medium of culture and expression.
As part of the celebration, Bank of Baroda organized competitions on 22nd January 2026 during the school hours. Students of Grades 2 and 3 participated in a Poster Making Competition on “ विश्व हिंदी दिवस ”, while Grade 4 students wrote essays on “ भारत की राजभाषा हिंदी ”.

S. D. Jain Modern School Primary Wing celebrated its Annual Sports Day with great zeal on 17th January, 2026. The programme began with a warm welcome followed by the inspiring arrival of the torch bearer by the sports champions. This was followed by a vibrant Yoga and Aerobics Drill Display, which filled the atmosphere with energy and excitement.
The track events then commenced with enthusiastic participation from students of Std. I to IV in the various sprint of 30 m & 50 m for boys & girls. Std. I students took part in Little Strategists Race for boys and Dress Pack Sprint for girls. For Std. II, the events included Junior Obstacle Fun Challenge Race for boys and Junior Queens Obstacle Fun Challenge Race for girls.
Students of Std. III showcased their speed and agility in the Agility Hurdle Race for boys and Ring Hula Hoop Obstacle Race for girls. The Std. IV students competed with great enthusiasm in the Agile & Strategy Challenge Race for boys and Cone & Ring Sprint for girls. Throughout the event, the Cheer Squad on stage continuously motivated the young athletes.

Participation of Primary Wing in Republic Day Online Activities on MyGov Portal
S.D. An enriching educational excursion to Smart Bazaar was organized for Grade 3 and 4 students of S.D. Jain Modern School, Wing–2 on December 20 & 26, 2025 respectively. During the visit, they observed various sections, selected items, added them to their carts, understood Maximum Retail Price (MRP), experienced billing and learned different modes of payments and how payments are settled. This real-life exposure turned textbook learning into joyful practice effectively blending fun with financial awareness. S.D. Jain Modern School, Primary Wing, celebrated National Mathematics Day with great enthusiasm on 22nd December 2025. Students of Grade 1 to 4 participated in a vibrant special assembly that beautifully showcased the joy and importance of Mathematics. Some students dressed as Srinivasa Ramanujan , Shakuntala Devi and Aryabhatta.
The key highlights of the event : Grade 1 students engaged in blindfold math activities, hopscotch addition, shape recognition, puzzles and place value games. Grade 2 presented slogans, speeches in English and Hindi, they also learned the power of zero and enjoyed quizzes, fast calculations, puzzles and a creative math-sign dance. Grade 3 performed a skit showcasing the importance of math in everyday life, dance, speech and art activity linking math with Indian currency monuments. Grade 4 highlighted real-life applications of math through skit, poem, dance, speech and number-based team games demonstrating their grasp of mathematical concepts in everyday scenarios.

Students of Grade 1 and Grade 2 from S.D. Jain Modern School, Primary Wing, visited the Vesu Branch Fire Station on 9th and 10th December, 2025. The authority-in-charge guided the children and demonstrated the use of fire extinguishers, essential firefighting equipments, basic safety rules and flood-rescue procedures. The children curiously asked insightful questions throughout the visit.
This educational tour provided young learners a practical understanding of fire safety and emergency response, as learning about emergency protocols at a young age is crucial for the safety of the community. S.D. Jain Modern School Primary Wing joyfully celebrated Flavourful Healthy Week from 1st to 6th December 2025, embracing India’s rich culinary heritage and encouraging mindful eating among young learners. The week was thoughtfully planned with theme-based food days where students brought a delightful, nutritious and homemade delicacies.
Students relished South Indian favourites like soft idlis and dosas on Monday, followed by Gujarati Goodness on Tuesday with thepla, dhokla and khichdi. Wednesday’s North Indian Platter offered hearty parathas, chole and dal-roti, while Thursday treated everyone to Maharashtrian Magic through poha, sabudana khichdi and misal. Friday highlighted the Flavours of the East with litti-chokha, rice delicacies and rasgulla. The week concluded with My Healthy Plate, encouraging balanced meals of grains, vegetables, fruits and proteins.
“A healthy outside begins from a healthy inside” truly came alive as students enjoyed a nutritious, fun-filled week and the teachers explained the importance of nutritive value in everyday life.

Educational Visit to Punjab National Bank – A Step Towards Financial Awareness
S.D. Jain Modern School, Primary Wing, organised an enriching educational visit to Punjab National Bank for Grade 3 & 4. True to the thought, “As knowledge grows, wisdom blossoms,” the visit offered students a meaningful glimpse into real-life banking operations.
Students learned about the importance of saving money, the steps involved in opening a bank account and the functioning of key banking services such as deposits, withdrawals, ATM, vault and digital banking. The students were introduced to various sections of the bank, including the Branch Head’s cabin, Loan department, Customer dealing department, administrative areas for stamping and dispatching and the Head cashier’s role. This hands-on approach bridged the classroom learning with practical experience, helping children develop financial awareness at a young age.

Students from Grade 1 to 3 illustrated themes such as The Colourful Balloon Seller, My Best Birthday Party and A Day at the Park, while Grade 4 chose Floating City in the Sky, My Ideal Study Room and Celebrating an Indian Festival.

CBSE Expression Series Activity
S.D. Jain Modern School Primary Wing conducted the CBSE-recommended activity for Grade 3 & 4 under the aegis of अमृत महोत्सव, an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, through the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The activity was held in accordance with CBSE/ACAD/AS&AD(PD)/2025, Circular No. Acad-83/2025 dated 30.10.2025.
As a part of the 2nd Expression Series for the academic session 2025-26, our students participated in the school-level competition held from 7th November to 20th November 2025. The mode of expression for the Preparatory Stage students was a 150-word paragraph on the themes : –

The celebration began with delightful performances by teachers, which filled the atmosphere with warmth and excitement. Students actively participated in a variety of enjoyable activities including creative drawing, interactive riddles and thoughtfully planned fun-filled games that kept their spirits high throughout the day. A special highlight of the celebration was the warm Tilak Ceremony and the beautiful handmade paper roses lovingly prepared by teachers as a gesture of affection. Students also engaged in simple craft activities such as designing paper gift bags, which further brought out their creativity.

On 13th November 2025 (Thursday), students of Grade 1 and 2 participated in Young Advertisers, where they presented imaginative product promotions using catchy slogans, props and expressive performance. Their enthusiasm made the event vibrant and impactful.
On 14th November 2025 (Friday), Grade 3 showcased their talent through Radio Jockey – “Speak, Feel & Connect. That’s what RJ does best.” Students prepared a 3-minute act in Hindi, English, or Gujarati on topics like jokes, moral stories, advertisements or news headlines. Dressed as their favourite RJs, they impressed the audience with voice modulation, clarity, creativity and confident stage presence.
The highlight for Grade 4 was the News Reporter event, where students enacted live reporting and even took views from the Principal and judges, adding excitement to the programme.

Gen Z Relatability:
The first session, led by Mr. Mukesh Pareek, focused on understanding Gen Z’s digital skills, short attention spans and preference for visual and interactive learning. Strategies such as using memes, analogies and classroom quizzes were recommended to engage students. The session urged teachers to bridge perception gaps, use supportive language and prioritize emotional literacy for stronger student connections.
Use of AI in Teaching:
The second session, led by Mr. Ujjawal Nagar explained how AI supports one-on-one (1:1) personalized education, adjusts content for each student and automates routine tasks, making teachers’ work more efficient. It was emphasized that while AI is a powerful tool, teachers’ human judgement and ability to inspire and guide students remain essential.

Aarush Shah, a Primary Wing student, excelled in the Akshay Kumar 17th International Kudo Tournament 2025-26 and the 6th Kudo Federation Cup 2025-26, securing winning positions in the U-10 Boys +39 kg category. Similarly, Yuvraj Bachkaniwala made the school proud by clinching a top position in the U-10 Boys -24 kg category at the 16th Kudo National Tournament 2025-26, held at Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Indoor Stadium, Surat.

Students came dressed in colourful festive attire, carrying delicious treats to share the joy of togetherness. The atmosphere sparkled with creativity as children enthusiastically participated in various activities such as Rangoli Making, Diya Decoration, Lantern Making and Diwali Card Making, expressing their heartfelt feelings and wishes for the festival.

A Public Speaking Competition ‘AAVAAZO KA UTSAV’ was held at The Millennium School, Surat on 8th October 2025. Students of Grade 1 and 2 from S.D. Jain Modern School, Primary Wing enthusiastically participated in the event. The competition comprised of two rounds—in the first round, participants spoke on allotted topics – A secret door in my school, The funniest thing I ever saw, The day I became a superhero, while in the second round, they picked Flash Cards and spoke on the given picture-based topics.
Around ten schools participated in the event, where students presented their thoughts confidently in English and Hindi. The parameters for judgement included content, voice modulation, time management, expression, creativity, and confidence.
The young orators brought laurels to the school by winning 4 trophies. On September 4th and 5th 2025, S.D. Jain Modern School celebrated Teachers’ Day, honouring the 137th birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Students from Wing-2 expressed their gratitude with handmade cards and flowers, while secondary students assumed the role of pseudo-teachers, guiding younger peers in a unique learning experience.
On 5th September, within the school premises, the official celebration took place. The Principal presided over this moment, followed by a speech honouring Dr. Radhakrishnan.

The festival, which symbolizes the triumph of good over evil and the divine strength of Maa Durga, came alive through the enthusiastic participation of students from Grade 1 to 4. Dressed in vibrant traditional attire, the young learners became carriers of India’s timeless heritage, showcasing not only dance and devotion but also unity in diversity.
The rhythmic beats of Garba resonated through the school grounds as children twirled gracefully in circles of joy. The highlight of the celebration was the spirited Garba performances, where every clap and step reflected the essence of devotion and togetherness. Students of S. D. Jain Modern School Primary Wing brought laurels to the institution at the 13th Gujarat & Gujarat State Open Kudo Tournament 2025-26, organized by GJ Kudo Sports Association (GKA), a member of KIFI Association, on 24th August 2025 at Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Indoor Stadium, Surat.
Yuvraj Jayraj Bachkaniwala displayed outstanding talent and clinched the First Place in the Under-10 Boys, 24 Kg category. Adding to the pride, Aarush H. Shah showcased remarkable skills and secured the Third Place in the Under-10 Boys +39 Kg category.

Youth Stars Dazzle in Fancy Dress Skill-Based Event
S.D. Jain Modern School, Primary Wing, organized a vibrant Fancy Dress Skill-Based Event for students of Std. 1 to 4 with the aim of boosting confidence and communication skills among the little learners.
On 21st August 2025, students of Std. 1 and 2 came dressed as divine characters like Krishna, Ram, Hanuman, Lord Shiva, Lord Narasimha and Goddess Durga, eloquently speaking about their chosen roles. The next day, 22nd August 2025, Std. 3 and 4 students portrayed renowned sports personalities, confidently sharing their achievements and qualities.
Each participant showcased their creativity, introduced themselves in character, and spoke within the allotted two minutes. The enthusiasm and expression displayed by the participants made the event a memorable one. Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign at S.D. Jain Modern School
S.D. Jain Modern School, Primary Wing organized the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under the aegis of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” from 2nd to 15th August 2025. The initiative aimed to inspire students to hoist the National Flag at their homes, fostering a personal and emotional connection with the Tiranga. Activities, conducted in two phases, included Crafting of beautiful Rakhis with heartfelt messages for the soldiers and Selfie with Tiranga, encouraging students and families to proudly display the flag while adhering to the Flag Code of India 2002.

On 19th August 2025, at S.D. Jain Modern School, Primary Wing, POGO Heroes of Kindness entertained the students of Grade 3 and 4. The program began with an energetic warm-up activity, “Little Singham Says,” followed by fun games such as Phataphat Quiz, Pass The Ball, Popcorn Toss Challenge, Dress Up Like Bheem and the thrilling “Dark Fantasy Choco Chase – Race for the Fills.” A special video of Titans of Tomorrow was also screened which encouraged attentiveness and recall.
Students enthusiastically participated, becoming “flavour champions” of Choco Fills, Nut Fills, Big Fills, Coffee Fills, and Vanilla Fills. They also enjoyed interactive sessions inspired by POGO cartoon characters. Every child was delighted to receive the certificate for being “Kind and Helpful.”

S.D. Jain Modern School, Primary Wing celebrated Shri Krishna Janmashtami on 14th August 2025 with great zeal and devotion. The school premises resonated with festive cheer as students from Grade 1 to 4 arrived dressed as charming Radhas and playful Krishnas. The celebration included devotional bhajans, Garba dance and creative activities like decorating flutes, pots, and making drawings depicting Shri Krishna’s life and past time stories. S.D. Jain Modern School proudly organized CBSE Expression Series -1 for the academic session 2025–26, as per CBSE’s nationwide initiative. The event was held between 14th July and 28th July 2025 and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Grade 3 and 4.
The theme of the Activity “Competency-Focused Education”, aimed to encourage students to explore and express their thoughts creatively. Participants wrote short paragraphs in both English and Hindi on thought-provoking topics such as “My Superpower: skill that helps me shine” and “How I solve my problems”. S.D. Jain Modern School, Primary Wing, organized an exciting Movie Day Excursion for students of Grade 1 to 4. Grade – 1 and 2 students enjoyed the animated film Smurfs (2D Hindi) on Thursday, 31st July 2025 while students of Grades 3 and 4 watched the inspirational movie Tanvi the Great (Hindi) on Wednesday, 30th July 2025.
The outing aimed to provide students with a refreshing break and an opportunity to bond with peers. Students were thrilled to watch movies in a cinema setting, and their joyful expressions reflected their excitement.

On 26th July 2025, S.D. Jain Modern School’s primary wing celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas, National Parents’ Day and World Conservation Day with great enthusiasm. A special assembly by Grade 3 and 4 students featured patriotic dances and skits honouring our brave soldiers and devoted parents. A speech on World Conservation Day was conducted along with messages highlighting the importance of conserving nature.
A heartfelt “Rakhi for Heroes” activity was organized for Grade 1 to 4, where students crafted beautiful rakhis using colourful threads, lace, sequins and paper. These will be sent to Indian army personnel as tokens of love and gratitude. Children also penned thank-you notes for the soldiers.

Every performance was vibrant, expressive and aligned with the school’s cultural ethos.

Grade 2 enjoyed a class activity on Naming Words (Nouns) through games and visuals that helped the students to grasp the concepts through hands on activity, while Grade 1 explored Opposites with enactments promoting Learning by Doing and strengthening words understanding through actions.
The event promoted creativity, language skills, and a deeper love for English. The efforts of all students were appreciated by the Principal, Headmistress, and Management.
S.D. Jain Modern School Primary Wing Shines at
Khel Mahakumbh Taekwondo Championship
Neeva Sunny Chevli of Std 3-B brought glory to S.D. Jain Modern School Primary Wing by winning a gold medal in the Taekwondo Kyorugi State Championship under the 20 kg weight category. The event was held on 27th April, 2025. Neeva was awarded a cash prize of ₹10,000 at the state level and ₹5,000 at the district level for her outstanding performance.

Celebrating the Eternal Bond of Love – Rakshabandhan
The Primary Wing of S.D. Jain Modern School radiated joy on 8th August, 2025 as students of Grade 1 to 4 celebrated Rakshabandhan during school hours. This festival, symbolising the timeless bond between brothers and sisters, is not merely a ritual but a celebration of cherished memories, shared laughter and heartfelt affection.
Dressed in vibrant traditional attire, girls adorned the day with beautifully crafted Rakhis, while boys expressed their warmth through thoughtful tokens – stationery items, toffees, bookmarks, seed packets and handmade keepsakes. The spirit of love, respect, and care filled the campus, weaving moments that students will treasure forever.
The School Management, Principal and Headmistress extended their heartfelt wishes, inspiring children to uphold this tradition of affection and togetherness. Indeed, it was a day where bonds grew stronger, smiles grew brighter and hearts grew warmer.
Saanvi Shines in International Dance Championship
Saanvi Kamlesh Patel of S.D. Jain Modern School participated in the World Performing Arts Championship Season-4, held online in February 2025. Representing the school in the Kathak (Solo/Minor) dance category, she secured the prestigious 1st Award. The event was presented by Akhil Natrajam Aantar Sanskrutik Sangh, Nagpur, under the aegis of the International Dance Council CID, Paris, France.
The School Management, Principal and Headmistress commended the participants and appreciated their spirited efforts, hard work and dedication in bringing laurels to the school.
Honouring Our Guiding Lights – Guru Purnima Celebration
S.D. Jain Modern School – Primary Wing celebrated Guru Purnima with deep reverence and joy through a special morning assembly on 10th July, 2025. The event, marked by heartfelt students’ participation, was a tribute to the invaluable role of gurus in shaping young minds.
The celebration commenced with students applying tilak to their teachers and presenting beautifully handcrafted feather badges as a symbol of respect and gratitude. Students from Grades 1 to 4 showcased their love and admiration for their gurus through a range of captivating performances.
Grade 4 students presented a soulful blend of shlokas, a thoughtful skit, a graceful dance, an inspiring speech and a heartfelt poem. Grade 3 students opened with a prayer, followed by a speech, song, skit, and dance. A meaningful “Sugar Board” explanation done by the wing head Dr. Reshma Julka added depth to the occasion. Grade 2 students added charm with recitations of shlokas, bilingual speeches, a poem and a vibrant dance performance. Grade 1 students touched hearts with a skit, shlokas, speech and a delightful dance.
The School Management, Principal and Headmistress commended the efforts of the students and staff, highlighting the significance of the Guru in one’s life. They encouraged students to carry forward the spirit of respect and gratitude for their teachers—not only on Guru Purnima but every day.

Ramnavami Celebration at S.D. Jain Modern School
S.D. Jain Modern School Primary Wing celebrated Ramnavami to commemorate the birth of Lord Rama with great devotion on 4th April through a special assembly. The event began with a soulful bhajan sung by the students, followed by a graceful Kathak dance performance. A speech highlighting the ideals and virtues of Lord Rama was also delivered. The assembly was spiritually uplifting and thoroughly enjoyed by all the students.
