Republic Day Celebrations: A Salute to the Spirit of India

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with great pride and patriotic fervour on 26th January 2026. The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Chairman Shri Kailash Ji Jain, followed by the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with a deep sense of unity and national pride.

A well-coordinated March Past set a disciplined tone for the programme, followed by a series of vibrant cultural performances including patriotic group songs, energetic dances, yoga, aerobics, and band performances that beautifully reflected the spirit of the nation.

A special highlight of the celebration was the soulful patriotic song presented by Arsh Jain, which touched every heart and added emotional depth to the programme.

The event was further enriched by the inspiring address by the Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalwala, who emphasized the importance of constitutional values, responsible citizenship, and the role of students in shaping the future of the nation.

The celebration concluded with prize distribution, a heartfelt vote of thanks, the National Anthem, and the National Song, leaving everyone inspired and proud to be Indians.

From Torch to Triumph- Annual Sports Day 2025–26

 

S.D. Jain Modern School organized the Annual Sports Day 2025–26 (Wing I) with great zeal and enthusiasm, witnessing spirited participation from students of Classes IX to XII. The event commenced with the arrival of the Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalwala, followed by the ceremonial torch lighting and oath-taking ceremony, reflecting the true spirit of sportsmanship.

Thrilling track and field events, including 100 m & 200 m races, Shot Put, and 4×100 m relays, kept the energy high throughout the morning. Prize distribution for various Inter-House indoor and outdoor sports competitions further added to the excitement.

Teachers’ Races brought joy and cheer to the event. The Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalwala, and the Head Master, Mr. Kiran Kataria, appreciated the commendable performances of the students and lauded the dedicated efforts of the Sports Team and the Team Head, Mr. Chandrika Singh, for the smooth and successful conduct of the meet.

Celebrating Excellence, Creativity & Intellect

The Certification Ceremony for Standard XI was conducted on 16 January 2026 with great pride and elegance, honouring students for their remarkable achievements in Co-curricular Activities (CCA) and the Mathematics Day Celebration.

The ceremony reflected the school’s belief in nurturing well-rounded individuals who excel both inside and beyond the classroom. The event was further enriched by the vibrant Class Board Decorations, beautifully curated around varied monthly themes, along with the Soft Board Decoration displays prepared under the guidance of House In-charges. These creative presentations stood as a visual testimony to students’ imagination, teamwork and thoughtful expression.

The relentless efforts of the students and the dedicated guidance of the teachers were graciously acknowledged by the Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalwala, and the Head Master, Mr. Kiran Kataria, who applauded the commitment, creativity and perseverance reflected in every display and achievement. (Class IX)

Creative hearts painted visions bright.
Every hue spoke passion and pride,
Art became their guide, their stride.”

The CCA activity for Class IX held on 2nd December was a wonderful platform for students to showcase their creativity and artistic talent. The event focused on designing the cover page of the S. D. Jain Modern School Yearly Magazine, a task that encouraged learners to express their imagination while reflecting the spirit and identity of the school.

Students participated with great enthusiasm and came prepared with a variety of colours, ideas, and themes. Their innovative designs beautifully highlighted school values, achievements, and aspirations. Each artwork demonstrated thoughtful planning, originality, and artistic skill, making the competition vibrant and inspiring.

Guided by the vision of Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala and Head Master Mr. Kiran Kataria, the activity successfully nurtured creativity and confidence among the students. Teachers actively motivated them throughout, ensuring that every child felt valued and encouraged.

S.D.Jain Modern School organized the Medal and Certificate Distribution Ceremony on 10 November 2025 to felicitate the Academic Toppers of the session 2024–25 and the Winners of cocurricular activities for 2025–26. The event was a grand celebration of hard work, perseverance, and all-round excellence.

The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries and participants, followed by a brief introduction highlighting the significance of recognizing students’ efforts both in academics and co-curricular domains.

The Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalwala, lauded the achievers for their consistent dedication and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in all spheres of life. He emphasized that such recognition not only motivates the recipients but also inspires others to aim higher.

The Prize Distribution Ceremony held on 7th October 2025 at S.D. Jain Modern School was a proud and memorable occasion dedicated to celebrating students’achievements for the academic year 2024-25. The event was graced by our respected Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalwala, Headmaster, Mr. Kiran Kataria, and the school coordinators, who, along with the teachers, awarded medals and certificates to the meritorious students for their outstanding academic performance.

In addition to academic excellence, students who showed exemplary dedication by maintaining 100% attendance throughout the year were also honoured with medals and certificates. The involvement of teachers in the distribution ceremony made the event even more special, as they shared the joy of their students’ accomplishments.The atmosphere was filled with cheer and applause as students proudly received their awards. The ceremony concluded with inspiring words from the school leaders,motivating everyone to strive harder and aim higher in their future endeavours.

“Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better.”

A morning filled with joy, pride, and inspiration marked the Award Ceremony on November 17, Monday, for the students of Class IX. Organised under the valuable guidance of our respected Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala and Head Master Mr. Kiran Kataria, the event was a heartfelt celebration of dedication, discipline, and academic achievement. The gracious presence of Principal Sir, along with the support of our coordinators and teachers, ensured the smooth and dignified conduct of the programme.

One of the major highlights of the ceremony was the recognition of students who secured 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions across all ten sections of Class VIII (presently in IX) Their outstanding academic performance and consistent efforts were acknowledged with well-deserved awards. Teachers also appreciated students for their sincerity, hard work, and overall development throughout the year.

Another proud moment was the presentation of the Full Attendance Award to ten students who maintained perfect attendance. Their discipline and commitment to learning set a wonderful example for their peers.

Principal Sir congratulated all the achievers and encouraged them with inspiring words, urging them to continue striving for excellence. The ceremony concluded on an uplifting note, celebrating perseverance, achievement, and the true spirit of learning.

Creative Chronicles of Dussehra and Diwali

“Lights of joy and colours so bright,
Filled every corner with festive light.
From Dusshera’s valour to Diwali’s gleam,
Each board reflected a beautiful dream.”

The Soft Board Decoration Activity for the month of October 2025 was based on the festive theme “Dusshera and Diwali.” The classrooms of S.D. Jain Modern School came alive with colour, creativity, and celebration as students artistically showcased the triumph of good over evil through their vibrant displays. Every class participated with great enthusiasm, presenting beautiful depictions of Ramayana scenes, Ravan Vadh, and Diwali festivities. The boards reflected devotion, artistry, and aesthetic brilliance.

The judging took place on 14th October 2025, based on creativity, aesthetic appeal,
and adherence to the theme. The event was a grand success under the guidance
and leadership of Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala and Headmaster Mr. Kiran Kataria.
Everyone appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers for their creativity and festive spirit.

Breathing Life into Wellness – Beyond Breath Seminar

S.D. Jain Modern School organized an inspiring session, “Beyond Breath – An Introduction to the Self” on 10th September 2025 at the SD Planets, AC Hall. The session, conducted by Mr. Aditya (Art of Living Faculty), was exclusively arranged for the teachers from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

The seminar offered a refreshing experience that focused on enhancing energy, focus, and productivity through simple yet powerful breathing techniques. Teachers were guided to understand the tendencies of the mind and emotions, along with an introduction to the renowned Sudarshan Kriya—a life-transforming rhythmic breathing practice.

The session was deeply appreciated by Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala and Head Master Mr. Kiran Kataria, who emphasized the importance of such initiatives for the holistic well-being of educators. Teachers enthusiastically shared their positive experiences, expressing how the seminar left them feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and more mindful. Many also voiced their desire to have such wellness seminars organized regularly in the school.

The program concluded with a warm Vote of Thanks by the Head Master, who acknowledged the enriching contribution of the speaker and encouraged the faculty to apply the learnings in both personal and professional life.

The Beyond Breath seminar truly reminded everyone that — “No Breath, No Life. Know Breath, Know Life.”

Dancing to the Rhythms of Devotion: Garba Celebration 2025 ( IX-XII)

The spirit of Navratri came alive at S.D. Jain Modern School as the campus turned into a hub of colors, music, and tradition during the Garba Celebration for Classes IX to XII. With dandiya beats filling the air, students adorned in vibrant costumes swirled and danced with unmatched energy, making the event a truly memorable one.

The highlight of the event  was the Aarti ceremony, performed with devotion by the Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala, Head Master Mr. Kiran Kataria, teachers, and the Prefectorial Body, filling the ambience with divine fervor. Students joined in, offering prayers with folded hands, which added a spiritual essence to the festive celebration.

To add grandeur, a Garba Competition was held with titles for Best Garba Dancer (Male & Female) and Best Costume (Male & Female). The event was graced by the esteemed panel of judges – Mr. Hardik, Ms. Saloni Upadhyay, and Ms. Pooja Rawal – who were captivated by the zest and grace of the participants.

The Soft Board Decoration Activity on the theme “Dear Teacher, You Made a Difference” was successfully conducted under the stewardship of our respected Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalwala, and Head Master, Mr. Kiran Kataria.

The boards became heartfelt tributes to all teachers—class teachers, subject teachers, and sports teachers—reflecting the gratitude of students for their dedication, encouragement, and life lessons. Each display beautifully showcased the profound role a teacher plays in shaping a student’s character and future.

The boards also honoured Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, whose vision and values continue to inspire generations. Students contributed creatively through poems, thank-you notes, drawings, and quotes, making each board vibrant and meaningful.

The event celebrated the deep bond between teachers and students reinforcing the message that a teacher truly makes a lasting difference.

Guiding Lights, Grateful Hearts : Teachers’ Day Celebration

Teachers’ Day was celebrated with immense joy, reverence, and gratitude at SD Jain Modern School to honour the birth anniversary of the great philosopher, educationist, and former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The day was dedicated to acknowledging the invaluable role teachers play in shaping young minds and nurturing future citizens.

The celebration began with a special morning assembly that paid tribute to Dr. Radhakrishnan and expressed heartfelt gratitude towards teachers.

To make the day even more memorable, students took on the role of their mentors and stepped into classrooms as “student-teachers.” They taught various subjects with great enthusiasm, gaining a deeper appreciation for the dedication and patience their teachers display every day. Later, classes organized interactive activities, fun sessions, and warm gestures to celebrate and spend quality time with their beloved teachers.

On 5th September, the school hosted a grand Teachers’ Day celebration where teachers gathered together for a cultural programme prepared lovingly by the students. The programme included group dances, soulful songs, touching speeches, and heartfelt poems, all of which beautifully reflected the bond between teachers and students.

A special highlight of the day was the felicitation ceremony. The staff members, in a gesture of gratitude, felicitated the esteemed leaders of the institution — Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala, Heads  Mr. Kiran Kataria, Mrs. Amita Singh, Dr. Reshma Julka and Mrs Deepika Bhattacharya.Their relentless efforts, vision, and guidance were acknowledged and appreciated by the entire teaching fraternity. Along with them, both the teaching and non-teaching staff were honoured for their dedication and commitment.

The celebration concluded on a joyous note with a delicious lunch arranged for all staff members, adding warmth and togetherness to the occasion. The day truly reflected the spirit of love, respect, and gratitude that students and staff share for their mentors — the guiding lights who shape countless lives.

Independence Day

S.D. Jain Modern School Glows with Patriotic Fervour on 79th Independence Day

S.D. Jain Modern School celebrated the 79th Independence Day of India on 15th August 2025 with immense patriotism and enthusiasm. The campus was adorned with the tricolour, and a sense of national pride filled the air.

The programme commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony by the esteemed Chairman Shri Kailash Ji Jain, in the presence of trustee Mr. Rahul Jain, Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala, and the heads of all three wings. The gathering of students, teachers, and parents joined in singing the National Flag Song, accompanied by a march display by the school band, which added grandeur to the occasion.

The cultural segment began with a group song presented by students of classes V to XI, followed by a lively dance performance by classes I & II. A melodious solo song was rendered by Arsh Jain of Class III, winning the audience’s applause. The Principal’s speech inspired everyone with thoughts on the value of freedom and responsibilities towards the nation.

The celebration continued with a dance performance by students of Classes IX to XI and a prize distribution ceremony recognising outstanding achievements in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities. The Head Boy recited a thought-provoking Hindi poem, followed by a dance by Classes III & IV. The Head Girl delivered an impactful English speech, instilling a sense of pride and duty.

The programme further featured a skate dance by Classes II to VIII, showcasing skill and creativity, and a vibrant dance performance by Classes V to VIII. The event concluded with the National Anthem, sung in unison, leaving everyone with renewed patriotic fervour.

The day was a perfect blend of cultural expression and national pride, reminding everyone of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the importance of working towards a better future for the nation.

S. D. Jain Modern School Basketball Triumphs in CBSE Cluster XIII U-19 Championship

S. D. Jain Modern School Basketball Boys’ Team emerged as Champions of the CBSE Cluster XIII U-19 Basketball Championship with dominant performances. In the semi-final, they outclassed DPS Surat by 20 points, and in the grand finale, they defeated NVV Vadodara 42-09 to claim the title and qualify for the CBSE National. Key contributions came from Deep Dakoria, Shubh Dayani, Yash Jain, Harshnoor Singh, Garvit Grover, Yug, Shivam, Naineel, Khush, and Prince.

With the support of Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala, Head Master Mr. Kiran Kataria and HoD Sports Mr. Chandrika Singh Head Coach Sanjay Singh Sengar the team’s victory was hailed as a triumph of discipline, passion, and teamwork.

The championship win has placed SD Jain Modern School at the forefront of school-level basketball excellence. It is not only a sporting achievement but also a reflection of the school’s commitment to nurturing talent and encouraging holistic development among students.

With this glorious victory, the U-19 Boys’ Basketball Team has set a benchmark for future generations. The school community applauds their hard work and looks forward to their continued success on bigger platforms.

Janmashtami Celebration

Krishna’s Leela Comes Alive at S.D. Jain Modern School

S. D Jain Modern School celebrated the joyous festival of Janmashtami with great enthusiasm and devotion, bringing together the entire school community in a vibrant cultural extravaganza.

The celebration commenced with a soulful Aarti performed by the Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala , Heads of all the wings and all staff members, invoking the blessings of Lord Krishna and setting a spiritual tone for the event. The stage then came alive with mesmerising dance performances presented by students from both Wing 3 and the Main Wing, beautifully depicting the life and leelas of Shri Krishna.

The audience was then addressed by Mr. Umesh Singh, who delivered an insightful speech highlighting the teachings of Lord Krishna and their relevance in today’s world.

One of the most awaited moments of the day was the thrilling Matki Phod. This year marked a special milestone as girls participated for the first time, displaying remarkable zeal, coordination, and courage in breaking the Matki. They were followed by the boys, whose energetic performance brought cheers and applause from all corners.

The celebration not only honoured the birth of Lord Krishna but also fostered a spirit of unity, tradition, and joyful participation among students and staff alike. The day ended with smiles, devotion, and cherished memories of a truly divine celebration.

Our U-19 boys Runners Up Deep Dakoria, Yash Jain, Garvit Grover and Head Coach Sanjay Singh Sengar proudly represented our school at the Gujarat State Juniors Basketball Championship.


Competing against top state talent, they displayed exceptional skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship.The management Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala , Headmaster Mr. Kiran Kataria and HOD Chandrika Singh applauded their dedication and performance in making our school shine on the state basketball stage.

To promote cultural awareness and artistic talent, SD Jain Modern School organized a dynamic Folk Dance Competition for the students of Class 11. The event celebrated India’s diverse folk traditions, with students delivering powerful performances that reflected passion, teamwork, and creativity. From energetic formations to vibrant traditional costumes, each performance captivated the audience and judges alike. It was a highly competitive event, with each student giving their best — making it a true showcase of talent and dedication. The competition was judged by SD Jain’s talented dance teachers — Mr. Himesh Patel and Mr. Hardik Shinde — who praised the students for their rhythm, coordination, and cultural representation. Soft Board Decoration Activity – Classes IX & X (July Edition)

As part of the July edition of the monthly Class Soft Board Decoration Activity, students of Classes IX and X brought life to the theme “Books – The World of Magic” with creativity, imagination, and enthusiasm.
Under the guidance of Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala, Headmaster Mr. Kiran Kataria, and the constant motivation of the class teachers, students created captivating boards that celebrated the power of reading. Class IX transformed their boards into magical realms, showcasing elements like spellbound trees, floating books, and thoughtful quotes that echoed the message: “Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.”
Class X designed an artistic “magical bookshelf,” blending genres, reader reflections, and vibrant visuals to portray how books transport us to worlds unknown and enrich our minds.
The activity not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the classrooms but also deepened students’ connection with literature. The efforts were widely appreciated by teachers and peers alike.

Class X Patriotic Solo Song Competition

“A song sung for the nation is more than melody—it is a heartbeat of pride, a rhythm of sacrifice, and a hymn of love.”

S.D. Jain Modern School organized the Class X Patriotic Solo Song Competition on 19 August, with great zeal and enthusiasm. The event began with a warm welcome by the anchors, Diya Yadav (X E) and Priyanshi Jha (X C), who set the patriotic spirit alive through their words.


With the constant encouragement and guidance of our honourable Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalwala, respected Headmaster, Mr. Kiran Kataria, and esteemed Coordinators, Mr. Saroj Ojha and Ms. Supriya Chopra, the event was conducted successfully with the active involvement of teachers and students.


Participants from all four houses—Ashoka, Shivaji, Subhash, and Tagore—brought the stage alive with their melodious voices. Songs like Mera Mulk Mera Desh, Ae Vatan Watan Mere, Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon, Sandeshe Aate Hain, Lehra Do, and Teri Mitti filled the atmosphere with pride, patriotism, and emotion. Each performance reflected the love and respect that the young generation carries for the nation.


The competition was judged by Ms. Sneharika Kanadhiya and Mr. Nimesh Sakariya, who appreciated the efforts and talent of all the participants. After much deliberation, the results were announced as follows:

Solo Song Competition Class IX

With Independence Day just around the corner, the corridors of S.D. Jain Modern School echoed with the spirit of patriotism and the pride of being Indian. Under the visionary guidance of our respected Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalwala, and Head Master, Mr. Kiran Kataria, the school organised a vibrant Patriotic Solo Song Competition on 12th August 2025 for Class IX students. The event was not just a musical gathering but a heartfelt tribute to the nation, inspiring young voices to pour their emotions into songs that celebrated freedom, unity, and sacrifice.
The stage came alive with soulful renditions of iconic patriotic songs such as Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon, Ae Watan, Teri Mitti, Ae Vatan Vatan Mere, and Jahan Daal Daal Par. Each participant sang with heartfelt emotion, devotion, and pride, captivating the audience and evoking a deep sense of patriotism. The tricolour theme and enthusiastic participation further added to the event’s charm.

The Semi-Classical Dance Competition for Class IX, held on 1st July 2025, was a vibrant celebration of rhythm, grace, and cultural heritage. Both boys and girls participated enthusiastically, showcasing elegant movements and expressive storytelling. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the performances, applauding the talent and dedication displayed on stage.

The event was organized under the guidance of Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala and Head Master Mr. Kiran Kataria, with the sincere efforts of Coordinators Ms. Supriya Chopra and Ms. Saroj Ojha. House in-charges played a vital role in preparing and motivating the participants, ensuring wholehearted participation.

The beautifully designed stage backdrop by Mr. Hemant More added charm to the event, while the seamless sound management by Mr. Nimesh and Mr. Prashant enhanced the experience. Special thanks to our sports teachers for maintaining discipline and ensuring the smooth flow of the program.

To foster creativity and thematic expression among students, a Class Board Decoration Competition was conducted for the students of Standards 11 and 12 at SD Jain Modern School. Each class was given a unique theme, Standard 11 Rakshabandhan & Standard 12 Independence Day.

The students enthusiastically participated, turning their boards into vibrant displays of tradition, patriotism, and creativity. Movie Day Out: A Heartwarming Cinematic Experience with
Tanvi the Great
Class IX & X – S.D. Jain Modern School

An engaging and thoughtful initiative was organised for the students of Class IX and X, who were taken for a movie day out to Loop Cinema, Homeland City Mall, Piplod, Surat. The outing aimed to combine leisure with learning, and the chosen film, Tanvi the Great, delivered exactly that.

Directed by Anupam Kher, the movie revolves around Tanvi Raina, a 21-year-old autistic girl determined to join the Indian Army in memory of her late father. The film’s sensitive portrayal of autism, coupled with an outstanding performance by debut actress Shubhangi Dutt, deeply touched the hearts of students and teachers alike.

The outing not only gave students a much-needed break from routine but also helped build awareness, empathy, and respect for individuals with special needs. Popcorn was served, adding a fun element to the meaningful experience.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our respected Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala and Head Master Mr. Kiran Kataria for giving the students this wonderful opportunity. Their constant encouragement toward holistic learning truly makes a difference.
It was a memorable day that left the students inspired, reflective, and more compassionate in thought.

CBSE Expression Series 2025–26 “Competency Based Learning”

The first CBSE Expression Series for the academic session 2025–26 was successfully conducted at S.D. Jain Modern School under the guidance of our respected Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalwala, and Headmaster, Mr. Kiran Kataria. The event provided a national-level platform for students to express their views through essay writing and poetry composition in both English and Hindi.
The Expression Series revolved around the concept of competency-based learning, with a focus on how education should build skills and values beyond academic grades. Both essays and poems were written on the same topics within each class group.
Students from Classes IX–X and XI–XII actively participated in the event with much enthusiasm and creativity. The event was conducted smoothly, and the participants showcased insightful reflections on the role of true learning in personal growth.

The Soft Board Decoration activity held on 5th August 2025 at S.D. Jain Modern School was a vibrant display of imagination, patriotism, and festive spirit, thoughtfully brought to life by the students of Classes IX and X.

Class IX embraced the festival of Rakshabandhan through creative and emotionally resonant boards. Several classes portrayed touching themes like Bharat Mata tying rakhi to soldiers, honouring the bravery and sacrifices of our armed forces. Others showcased rakhis tied to trees, spreading awareness about environmental responsibility. The use of handmade borders, symbolic elements, and thoughtful messages added aesthetic charm and depth to their presentation.

Class X paid tribute to Independence Day with boards that captured the essence of India’s freedom struggle and her rise as a progressive nation. With impactful imagery, patriotic quotes, and historical snapshots, students reminded everyone of their duty toward the country.

The event flourished under the inspiring leadership of Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala and Headmaster Mr. Kiran Kataria, whose continued support nurtures a spirit of innovation, cultural appreciation, and student excellence.

Rising to Lead: SD Jain Installs Its Torchbearers for 2025–26

The Investiture Ceremony of S.D. Jain Modern School for the academic session 2025–26 was held with solemn grandeur on 31 July 2025 in the school A.C. Hall.

The ceremony commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp, followed by a warm welcome extended to the esteemed Principal sir Mr. Chetan Dalwala, the Heads of all three wings and parents of council members, whose presence added grace and significance to the occasion.
One of the most prestigious highlights of the morning was the formal conferment of badges and sashes to the three apex student leaders of the council:

 Empowering Teachers: Mental Health Awareness and Self-Care

A workshop on Mental Health and Well-being was conducted by Ms. Sakshi Mishra on June 7, 2025. The session aimed to equip teachers with the knowledge and skills to manage their own mental health while also fostering a mentally healthy school environment. Ms. Mishra emphasized the significance of mental well-being in the teaching profession and its impact on overall classroom effectiveness. Teachers learned to identify signs of stress, anxiety, and burnout in themselves and gained practical strategies for self-care, stress management, and emotional resilience. S D Jain Shark Tank 2025: A Powerhouse of Innovation and Entrepreneurial Zeal

 

The S D Jain Modern School proudly hosted its much-anticipated Shark Tank event on 4 July 2025, a dynamic platform designed to foster creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial skills among students. Out of an overwhelming 174 participants across 20 teams, only 5 outstanding teams comprising nearly 50 students made it to the final round, where they pitched their unique business ideas with confidence, clarity, and creativity.

The event was graced by the esteemed Guest of Honour, Mr. Mukesh Pareek, whose inspiring words encouraged students to dream big and work relentlessly towards their goals. The Principal, Mr. Chetan Dalawala, and Headmaster, Mr. Kiran Kataria, applauded the ingenuity and dedication of the participants, appreciating the school’s commitment to nurturing future business leaders.

The highlight of the event was the announcement of the winning team, which was awarded a cash prize of ₹5100 along with a Winner’s Certificate, in recognition of their exceptional business pitch and presentation.

Topic: Disha Bodh and Spirituality Connected to Intellect

An insightful and thought-provoking session was conducted for the students of Std IX and X by the renowned journalist, spiritual thinker, and author Dr. Gulab Kothari. The session was centred on the theme “Disha Bodh and Spirituality Connected to Intellect” and which started on the welcome note by presenting a bouquet by our worthy principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala.

Dr. Kothari emphasized the importance of Disha bodh—having clarity of direction in life—especially during the adolescent years when thoughts begin to shape one’s future. He beautifully explained how true intellect is not just about acquiring knowledge but about connecting that knowledge with inner awareness and spiritual values.

Using real-life examples and simple analogies, he guided students to reflect on their purpose, their choices, and the importance of inner discipline.
The session was interactive, with enthusiastic participation from students who posed meaningful questions. Dr. Kothari responded with clarity and warmth, making deep spiritual ideas accessible and relevant to the young audience.

This inspiring session was appreciated by our Honourable Chairman Shri Kailash Ji Jain, whose constant encouragement and vision have always driven the school towards excellence.

S.D. Jain Modern School celebrated International Yoga Day on 20th June 2025 with immense enthusiasm. The celebration aimed to spread awareness about the benefits of yoga and meditation in achieving a balanced lifestyle. Both students and teachers participated wholeheartedly, contributing to the serene and energetic environment.
The event began with an introduction on the significance of Yoga Day, followed by warm-up exercises. Participants then performed a sequence of yoga asanas like Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana, and various Pranayama techniques under the guidance of our Yoga instructor, Ms. Kanchan Gupta. A special emphasis was laid on meditation, helping students connect with their inner selves, develop mindfulness, and reduce stress.

The active support and guidance of Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala and Headmaster Mr. Kiran Kataria played a vital role in the successful organization of the event. Teachers also participated enthusiastically, inspiring students to make yoga and meditation a part of their daily lives.

To encourage creativity, teamwork, and healthy eating habits, a Fireless Cooking Competition was organized for students of Classes 11 and 12 at SD Jain Modern School. On Tuesday, 17th June, S.D. Jain Modern School organized an engaging Advertisement Making Competition for Classes IX and X, based on the theme Eco-Friendly Products. Conducted in their respective classrooms, the competition saw enthusiastic participation from students who showcased their creativity in promoting a greener planet. The event turned into a burst of innovation as students designed imaginative and eye-catching advertisements for sustainable products such as paper bags, clay pots, jute foot mats, paper straws, bamboo combs, water bottles, and wooden cutlery.

The event was conducted under the valuable guidance and support of Principal Mr. Chetan Dalwala and Headmaster Mr. Kiran Kataria, whose constant encouragement continues to inspire students to take part in such creative and meaningful learning activities. Their vision and leadership played a key role in making this event successful and impactful.
