On August 19th , 2023, Vaka Varenya from S.D.Jain Modern School, Wing-2, showcased her exceptional skills in two chess tournaments organized by the Sylvester Saldanha Memorial Tournament in Mulund, Mumbai. In the under-9 girls category, she emerged as the champion, securing the first rank. Additionally, she displayed her prowess in the under-10 girls category, achieving the remarkable feat of being the 2nd runner-up. Her impressive performance in both categories reflects her dedication and talent in the world of chess.
