S. D. JAIN MODERN SCHOOL Rules
- Every student should carry diary to the school everyday.
- Students who commute by their own should reach the school five minutes before the bell rings that is 7.10 a.m.
- Students are required to go to the assembly hall / ground as soon as the bell rings.
- Students should always be neatly dressed with their shoes polished and hair groomed properly. They should come to the school in the prescribed uniform daily and on all school functions.
- Students who are improperly or shabbily dressed will not be allowed in the class room.
- Non Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals.
- Students are advised to make use of the dust-bins provided, for throwing bits of paper etc. They are expected to keep the campus neat and clean.
- Students are only allowed to visit the Swimming pool area along with the instructor or mentor.
- Students must take care of the school properly. Damaging school furniture, writing on the walls or disfiguring the school property will be dealt with strictly. Any damage to school property should be reported to the class teacher or the principal.
- For all damages to the school property, the student will have to pay actual cost of the article damaged along with 50% penalty in addition to other action depending upon the gravity of the matter.
- Students are advised not to bring valuable articles to the school. Any loss of article or money should be reported to the class or the subject teacher immediately. The school shall not be responsible for these losses.
- Students are forbidden to practice any borrowing or lending or to celebrate their birthday in the campus.
- Parents or guardians are not permitted to visit the class room or meet their ward or take away their wards during school hours without the written permission of the Principal.
- A school is judged by the conduct of its students hence the students are always expected to set standards of good conduct politeness in the school, in the bus and at public places. They should always behave in a courteous manner and prove themselves as worthy ambassadors of the institution as well of their country.
- Students should take care of their belongings. All personal items including blazers, water bottles etc. should have their names.
- No shouting, whistling, running will be permitted in the classrooms or in the school premises. Silence must be observed outside the Principal’s office, staff room, in the common room, laboratories and the libraries.
- Unwanted books like novels, periodicals and digests and articles like watches, transistors and walkman etc should not be brought to school.
- During the absence of a class teacher, the class monitor will assume full responsibility of maintaining discipline in the class till the teacher arrives.
- Students should reach their stipulated bus stop 5 minutes early and wait for the bus. The bus will not wait under any circumstances, for the student arriving late at the concerned stop, as it will cause a lot of inconvenience in maintaining punctuality.
Fee Payment Rules
- All the school dues should be paid between 1 st to 10th: (i) In April (forApril, May & June) (ii) In July (for July, August & September)
- A late fee fine of Rs. 5/- per day shall be levied from 11th of the month in which the school dues are to be paid till the end of succeeding month. Thereafter the name of the student will be struck off from the rolls and re-admission will be allowed only after the payment of all arrears and fines along with re-admission fees of Rs. 2000/-. The re-admission will depend upon the availability of a seat in the concerned class.
- Parents should keep the counter foils safe with them and produce the same whenever required by the school to verify the payment of the school dues of a particular term for which intimation from the bank has not been received by the school.
- Parents have the option to deposit the school dues for the whole year in advance if they find it more convenient.
- In case of refund of extra charges levied by the school, parents are requested to deal directly with the school, and all the correspondence in respect of school dues should be taken up directly with the school.
- Fee should be paid only by cheque/Pay order/ Demand Draft in favour of “S. D. Jain Modern School” (No out station or post dated cheque will be accepted.)
- If a Cheque is dishonored Rs. 250/- will be charged as penalty.
(iii) In October (for October, November& December)
(iv) In January (for January, February & March).
If 10th of the month in which the school dues are to be paid happens to be a holiday, the payment is to be made by the 9th day of that month or earlier. Though every care is exercised to send the fee bills through the students in time, it will be the responsibility of the parents to deposit the school dues on the due date.
Note: WITHDRAWALS Admission fee is not refundable in any case. Regarding issue of TC, parents must note that quarterly fees and the bus fee for the entire academic year will be charged, in case of withdrawal of a child during the academic year.

Please note the following points
- Stoppages of the other area can be introduced, provided the number of bus users is sufficient.
- Once the bus service is availed by the students, cannot be withdrawn the service during the academic year.
- Please note that the students who don’t avail the bus facility, they must mention their own conveyance (Auto, Self etc) with their details and return the confirmation form back to the class teacher. The school is not responsible for any unforeseen incidents occurring in the other conveyance like auto, self (own vehicle) or even in the bus.
- Parents are requested to inform the school if any change in residence address and contact number so that school can update at the regular intervals.
- For the major purpose of security and safety of your ward, the school has designed the 2nd copy of your ward’s I card (FOR PARENTS COPY). So that any time parents want to see the principal, concerned teachers, any kind of office work at the administration office or at bus stoppage, they must keep the parents I-card copy and show it on demand.
- Students won’t be handed over if their parents or any member of the family don’t come at the bus stoppage with their Parents I.D. Card. In this case, parents will have to come to the school and pick their ward.
- Parents are requested not to send their children by motor cycle (bike) as it is strictly warned by the local authorities. The local administration has given warning to all the school heads not to permit any child to drive two wheelers without license.
- The school is not responsible for any action taken by the traffic police or any theft occurring inside or outside the campus.
- No students’ upto Class X are permitted to drive vehicles to the school under any circumstances.
- Students of Class XI and Class XII should always keep their driving License with them and produce it on demand by the school authorities and submit the copy of the license at the office as well. (Only gearless vehicle)
- The possession and use of mobile phones is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. If students are caught with mobiles, the instruments in their possession will be confiscated and will not be returned under any circumstances.
- The School reserves the right to Alter, Add, Or Delete Any Bus Stop.

Refund
Caution money, if any, will be refunded at the time of withdrawal from the school on the production of receipt along with an application on the prescribed proforma, provided the dues of the school have been paid or settled. Refund of caution money will have to be claimed within a year of the date of withdrawal of the child from the school.
LEAVE AND ATTENDANCE
- Every student is expected to maintain an attendance record of at least 90% during an academic year. Failing this, he / she may not be allowed to take the final exams.
- For any absence, a proper leave application must be written by the parent to the Principal, supported by a medical certificate in case of sick leave.
- In the school, if a student misses any class or leaves the school before closing without permission, he/she will be marked absent for the whole day. Stern action wilt be taken against such truants.
- A student’s name will be struck off from the rolls if the student is absent from the school for 7 days continuously without taking valid leave.
- By ensuring that their wards are regular in their Class/home assignments and daily lessons.
- By checking their ward’s school diary and report card regularly and also paying attention to the teacher’s remarks. All correspondence should be addressed to the Principal by the Parents/Guardians.
- Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience, misconduct or bad moral influence may cause the expulsion of the student from the school.
- Whenever the parents come to school to drop their child or to meet the teachers, they are requested to carry the I-Card and produce on demand and be courteous with the security personnels.
- There would be no retake of assessments or exams whatever the situation maybe be.

Computer Education
The school already has three very well equipped computer laboratories with latest Pentium based machines, which will be used for the Junior Section as well as Senior section.The CAL (ComputerAided Learning) and CLP(Computer Literacy Programme) are an integral part of teaching learning curriculum. The CAL packages evolved by teachers have been validated by a team of experts. Further Computer is used as a teaching aid to learn different subjects like Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, English, Games and different activities, especially pertaining to develop their practical approach towards the rationalization which aids their receptiveness towards all the subject.
ART, SCIENCE LABS & A. V. ROOM The school has well equipped Art Gallery where students can exercise creativity in various kinds of arts. Use of Transport
1. It is desirable for all the students to make use of the school bus. However if a student is unable to make use of bus facility because of certain unavoidable reasons, the student must inform in writing to the office.2. All regular students once opted for the bus facility have to pay the fees for the full year and would not be permitted to withdraw the bus facility for that full academic year.
VISITING HOURS: Parents and visitors may meet the Principal between 8.00 a.m. and 9.00.a.m. on all working days or by prior appointment.
PARENT – TEACHER MEETINGS
Parents of Jr. KG. and Sr. KG. students can meet the teachers only on 3rd Saturday of the month between 9-00 a. m. to 12.00 noon Parents of class I to VI can meet the teachers only on fourth Saturday of the month between 9-00 am to 12.00 noon
Parents would not be allowed to enter the school premises without the Parents I Card.SCHOOL TIMINGS:
