INTER-SCHOOL DEBATE AND EXTEMPORE COMPETITION

Inter-School Debate Competition was successfully held at S D Jain Modern School on 07 August,2023. The event witnessed spirited participation from 10 esteemed schools, each vying for intellectual supremacy in a battle of eloquence and persuasion. Organized with meticulous planning, the competition showcased the intellectual prowess of young minds while fostering  healthy competition and camaraderie among participants. The schools Participated were GD Goenka, Reliance Foundation, Shree Vashishth Vidhalaya, AMNS, Agarwal Vidya Vihar, Hills High School, T M Patel International School, SBR Vidyapeeth, DPS Surat, S D Jain Modern School Distinguished judges for the event were Mrs. Jalshree Dave, Mr. Vastav Shastri, renowned professors from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), bringing academic rigor and fairness to the evaluation process.
The competition featured a series of intense debates on a range of thought-provoking topics and also Extempore competition. The topics were carefully selected to stimulate critical thinking, discussion, and creativity. Each participating school had the opportunity to showcase their logical reasoning, persuasive speaking skills, and ability to handle counterarguments effectively. Students from various schools displayed remarkable eloquence, showcasing their command over the English language and their ability to articulate complex ideas.
The judges appreciated the participants’ research and preparation, evident in the well-structured arguments presented.
The Insightful comments and feedback from the judges provided valuable learning opportunities for the debaters, enhancing their skills for future competitions.
Winners:
After several rounds of eloquent arguments and thoughtful debates and Extempore, Reliance Foundation emerged as the overall winner of the competition, G D Goenka as First Runner up and S B R Maheshwari Vidyapeeth Second Runner Up. All the participants from each school were recognized and awarded certificates of participation.
Chairman Sri Kailash Ji Jain, Principal Chetan Dalwala and Head Master Mr. Kiran Kataria congratulated all the winners and participants for their outstanding achievements and wished success in their endeavours. The success of this competition serves as a testament to the power of discourse and the potential of young minds to shape meaningful conversations in the broader society
