Seminar on National Curriculum Framework-Foundational Stage

On June 7, 2024, S.D. Jain Modern School held a seminar on the National Curriculum Framework for the foundational stage (NCF-FS) in the school’s Activity Hall. The seminar, aimed at acquainting teachers from Nursery to Grade 5 with CBSE’s latest recommendations, the seminar took place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Eminent educators Mr. Ayan Gupta and Ms. Moustoshi Sharma led the session, featuring engaging presentations and with diverse activities that focused on 21st-century
skills, language, art, craft and critical thinking. It was activity based and teachers enjoyed the activities they were made to do. The integrated, play-based approach of the curriculum addresses cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, fostering foundational skills and holistic development in students. Networking and sharing experiences among participants were facilitated, with delicious breakfast, lunch, and tea provided by the school management.
The event concluded with Chairman Sir and Principal Sir expressing gratitude and presenting mementos to the resource persons. The School Management, Principal and Headmistress expressed their appreciation for the seminar that could enhance the knowledge of NEP and NCF.
