S. D. Jain Modern School Primary Wing celebrated a unique blend of events on 21st December, marking National Mathematics Day, World Meditation Day and Winter Solstice Day. The festivities began with a vibrant assembly by Std 1, featuring a skit on time, speeches on eminent mathematicians Srinivasa Ramanujan and Shakuntala Devi and a calming meditation session.

Std 2 enlivened the celebrations with speeches, a poem on numbers and a Garba performance while reciting multiplication tables. Creative Math Lab activities introduced money concepts through a S.D.Jain Mart, alongside interactive games like Number Bingo and Math Relay. Std 3 kept the energy high with an engaging quiz, speeches, a captivating dance performance and games including Shopping Cart, Magic Square and Number Puzzle developing spatial awareness and visual processing.

The Grade 4 students participated in an engaging series of activities designed to enhance their physical coordination, cognitive skills and teamwork including games such as Four lucky circle, Body twist with lines and circle, Car rolling on numbers road and Number puzzle.

The Winter Solstice was illustrated using a globe and torch, complemented by insightful speeches. World Meditation Day encouraged students to practice meditation under a yoga instructor's guidance, fostering mindfulness and relaxation.

The School Management applauded the students’ enthusiasm and creativity, making this multidisciplinary celebration an inspiring and memorable experience for all.
