World English Language Day: A Celebration of Words and Wisdom
Primary Wing
The Primary Wing of S.D. Jain Modern School celebrated World English Language Day with great enthusiasm on 23rd April, 2025 to promote the beauty and power of the English language.
Grade 3 and 4 students conducted a special assembly, where the students were dressed as famous Indian and International writers like Shakespeare, Rabindranath Tagore and Ruskin Bond, sharing facts about their literary works. Others creatively represented the eight Parts of Speech using flashcards and explaining their usages.
Grade 2 enjoyed a class activity on Naming Words (Nouns) through games and visuals that helped the students to grasp the concepts through hands on activity, while Grade 1 explored Opposites with enactments promoting Learning by Doing and strengthening words understanding through actions.
The event promoted creativity, language skills, and a deeper love for English. The efforts of all students were appreciated by the Principal, Headmistress, and Management.
