S.D. Jain Modern School Primary Wing celebrated "Shiksha Saptah" organized by CBSE focusing on different aspects of educational reform and development enriching activities from July 22 to July 28, 2024, commemorating the 4th anniversary of NEP 2020.
Day 1 featured age-appropriate storytelling for Grades 1 to 4.
On Day 2, students were engaged in Foundational Literacy and Numeracy activities, including playful addition methods and a seminar on FLN for teachers conducted by Dr.Reshma Julka.
On Day 3, the emphasis was on sports, featuring indigenous games such as Langdii, Chilljhapatta, and Gilli Danda.
Day 4 was Cultural Day, showcasing skits on significant themes, dance performances, and local games.
Day 5 focused on Skilling and Digital Day, where students learned about safety through videos, viewed inspirational videos, celebrated Kargil Victory with performances and attended a first aid workshop organized by the teachers.
On Day 6, Eco Clubs and School Nutrition Day were highlighted with a plantation drive and healthy cooking activities including corn and sprout chaat, reinforcing environmental and nutritional awareness.
Day 7 comprised community involvement, focusing on socio-emotional well-being and skill development. Activities included donating to orphanage, playing with children, and a waste management session.
This long week celebration reflected the transformative reforms introduced by NEP 2020. Each day was filled with creativity, learning, and patriotism, creating a vibrant, joyful atmosphere that celebrated both educational and cultural values.
The School Management, Principal, and Headmistress commended the students and teachers for their efforts in making the “Shiksha Saptah” week a success.
