SEMINAR ON CYBER SECURITY

The seminar focused on the importance of cyber security and the various ways to stay safe online. The eminent speaker, Mr Ankit Jaiser talked about the following topics:  Usage of mobile phones  Guidance regarding downloading content  Surfing unknown sites and links  Avoid AI in Snapchat  Various apps which are gateway to dark web Mr. Ankit Jaiser emphasized the importance of keeping mobile phones secure by setting strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and keeping software up-to-date. He advised students to download content only from trusted sources and to avoid downloading files from unknown websites or links. He warned students against clicking on unknown links or visiting suspicious websites as they could be phishing scams or contain malware. He cautioned students against using AI filters in Snapchat as they could be used to collect personal information. He explained how some apps can be used as gateways to the dark web and advised students to avoid using such apps. Ankit Jaiser also shared live examples of cases he had dealt with, highlighting the importance of being vigilant and taking necessary precautions while using the internet. The seminar was an eye-opener for the students, who learned about the various ways to stay safe online. It was an informative session that helped students understand the importance of cyber security.
